Proavio introduces the world’s first affordable MiniSAS storage array specifically designed for full raster uncompressed HD video, 2K cinema and high-resolution Visual Effects creation platforms. based on Proavio’s award-winning RS16 RAID family, the RS16JS continues to raise the industry bar on performance, features and value. An enterprise-class designs offers intelligent enclosure management, active hot-swappable components and a high-performance MiniSAS interface that leverages every drop of available bandwidth. A large-format sixteen disk design supports both SAS or SATA disk drives and delivers over 1.2TB/s (SAS Disks) when used in RAID-0 performance mode.

Designed specifically to operate in “mission-critical” (24/7) post production environments, the RS16JS supports every stage of production including uncompressed 4:4:4 offline/online editing, film transfer applications, Digital Intermediate and Visual Effects creation. Dual port SAS connectivity supports load-balanced MPIO configurations - unlocking the true potential of a standard desktop computer. RS16JS empowers users with the capability to achieve the highest level of performance with minimal effort or investment. The RS16SS compliments any high-resolution production platform; including systems by AJA, Apple, Assimilate, Avid, Autodesk, Bluefish444, Grass Valley and Matrox.

By utilizing native Serial-based technology, Proavio has been able to develop a storage system that raises the industry bar for performance, value and reliability. Dual SFF8088 MiniSAS interface ports offer unparalleled support for 3rd party host bus adapters and controllers, allowing users can select the right adapter for their platform or budget.

RS16JS features a high-bandwidth MiniSAS expansion port designed for use with additional RS16JS arrays allowing users to expand their storage from 16TB up to 80TB. RS16JS can also be used as an expansion system for any of the hardware RAID RS16 models including RS16FS, RS16SS and RS16IP-4.
