When developing the new editBOX™ 4ML, ProAVIO worked
to design a solution that could offer full video format support
and deliver professional-grade performance without the price
tag normally associated with SCSI and Fibre-Channel storage.
With recent improvements in emerging Serial ATA technology,
external SATA (eSATA) became the interface of choice. Capable
of sustaining data throughputs in excess of 217MB/s, editBOX™
4ML can easily support multi-track 24/96 audio and/or multi-stream
video playback at DV, HDV or even SD resolutions. Further
editBOX™ 4ML features a brushed aluminum cabinet design
and an ultra-quiet cooling system making it esthetically and
acoustically compatible with any editbay or control room configuration.
