Building on the success of the of the powerful editBOX™ 4 series of desktop storage arrays, the EB8-PM provides the ultimate solution for those application requiring extremely high performance coupled with massive amounts of storage capacity. With an all aluminum construction and ultra-quiet cooling, the EB8-PM is both esthetically and acoustically compatible with even the most demanding of professional video environments.

The editBOX™ 8 series of storage arrays is directly targeted at video production and post-production using resolutions of uncompressed HD (1080I) and beyond. Capable of sustaining data transfer rates in excess of 500MB/s (in RAID-0), EB8-PM is actually capable of supporting multi-stream playback of up to 2K feature-film resolution.

With a data capacity up to 8TB, the EB8-PM can store in excess of 12 hours of 1080I HD video. editBOX™ 8 provides the perfect storage compliment for virtually any high-resolution video platform; including those based on Aja, BlackmagicDesign, Bluefish444, Canopus (Edius HD), Harris/Leitch Velocity HD as well as Matrox AXIO LE.

Ultra-quiet no-noise technology makes the EB8-PM a natural choice for discriminating edit bays and recording studios who can not allow the introduction of extraneous system noise within the critical listening environment.
