Proavio proudly introduces the new ES16, dual controller storage platform designed for high resolution cinema and visual effects creation. Building on the success of the award-winning Ultrastor (RS) storage family, Proavio has once again raised the bar for performance and value without sacrificing the professional features users have come to expect. By leveraging over 10 years of development experience, Proavio has created the first large-format Fibre Channel array which can harness and exploit the full potential of a typical desktop workstion.

	Designed with the commercial post facility in mind, the ES16 storage platform unlocks a new level of storage possibilities. Featuring a built-in 3G SAS expander, the ES16 is capable of scaling available capacity to over 200TB - making the ES16 storage platform the number one choice for mission capacity hungry applications inlcuding VFX creation, broadcast and DI.
ES16 is a 3u, sixteen-disk, dual controller 4G Fibre-to-SAS disk array with a next generation RAID processor design that sets new standards in performance and reliability. A qual SFP optical interface fully supports multipathing configurations and can deliver an excess of 800MB/s in RAID5 protection mode. An easy to use browser-based administration interface provides complete storage control and management from any workstation on the network.

Featuring a high-speed optical interface, ES16 supports both SAN attached network configurations for real-time file-sharing (requires 3rd. party SAN software) as well as direct-attached configurations for high resolution Online requirements.The new ES16 storage solution compliments any existing SAN platform including Xsan, MetaSAN, FibreJet and Stornext.

By implementing a completely modular system architecture, the ES16 offers the same world-class reliability and robust feature-set found in today's enterprise-class storage products including fully redundant hot-swappable PSUs & cooling modules, a cross-platform management interface and a modularized RAID controller design for easy replacement in the field.
